Fly leaves browned and edges foxed, with occasional traces inside, but otherwise a very good copy. early signature on first free endpaper. Illustrated by 16 black and white photographic plates, including frontispiece and by text figures, including whole page. An early monograph on this subject, covering seats, summer houses, archways and trellises, pergolas, gates and fences, sundials and statuary, bridges and fountains, etc. A product of the pre-garden gnome era.
