Hand-coloured lithograph mounted in conservation materials suitable for framing, overall size 13 x 11 inches approx. Engraved surface including inner margin, 9 x 6.5 inches. View of Sandgate from the east, with the post-Napoleonic Castle, old chapel and buildings at the foot of Sandgate Hill and in the High Street beyond; distant view of Martello towers on the heights and along the shore of Hythe Bay.
