Small 4to. 10.25 x 7.5 inches. 96 pp. Bound in cream cloth with red and gilt titles, in pictorial slipcase (with blurb on rear), which is worn at edges. Spine sunned and titles faded. Pages 7-8 creased, but otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by tipped in frontispiece, by 57 captioned pages of plates numbered in text and by 2 whole page location maps Decorated by vignette and publisher's device both on title page. Reproductions of His Thirty Six Views if Mount Fuji, by the famous Japanese artist, Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849). Text by the art historian, Muneshige Narazaki (1904-2001). Translated and adapted by John Bester (1927-2010).
