4to. 11.5 x 8.25 inches. 137 + [1] pp. + [2] pp. advertisements. Bound in original cloth with red titles and block and red title label on spine, in pictorial dust wrapper, which has missing small sections on back and spine which is sunned with chips at head and tail A little wear to extremities and browning of front flyleaf, but otherwise a very good clean copy. Illustrated by 6 colour plates, including frontispiece, and by numerous monotones, all numbered in text. A well illustrated special issue of The Studio surveying the artistic culture of the U.S.S.R in the mid-thirties. Edited by Charles Geoffrey Holme (1887-1954), artist and publisher, who in 1919 succeeded his father, Charles Holme, the founder, as editor of The Studio magazine, which existed 1893-1964.
