8vo. 7.75 x 6 inches. [viii] + 34 + [1] pp. + [1] pp. limited edition statement and colophon. In cloth spine, gilt over patterned stiff card boards with printed title label. Rough cut edges. A little wear to extremities, including corners with some sunning of board edges, and slight browning of flyleaves; otherwise a very good copy. Decorated by vignette imprint and colophon. All text within decorative borders. A collection of sixty four Elizabethan sonnets, whose authors include Donne, Drayton, Shakespeare, Sidney and Spenser. The editor's note is signed B. B. Limited edition printed at the Curwen Press, Plaistow. The Press (1863-1984) was at the forefront of the early twentieth century design revolution in British printing and many well known graphic artists worked for it.
